I am working as a Senior Manager for European Research and Innovation Policy at Robert Bosch GmbH in Brussels, Belgium.

Academic background

Before joining Bosch, I was a senior consultant at VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH in Berlin, Germany. Previously, I was also a postdoctoral researcher at the Intelligent Systems Lab (ISLA) of the University of Amsterdam. My general research interests were in the broad areas of human-computer interaction, cognitive science and artificial intelligence.

Andi Winterboer

In Amsterdam, I was working on the EC FP7 project DIADEM that focused on developing a system that detects potentially hazardous situations in heavily populated industrial areas using input from both a distributed sensor network and humans through mobile devices.

At ISLA, I mostly worked with Vanessa Evers.

Teaching

I was teaching assistant (TA) and tutor for a Research methods course at the University of Edinburgh from 2006 till 2008.

Together with Vanessa Evers, who was the main lecturer, I co-taught an undergraduate course on Human-Computer Interaction for the BSc in Informatiekunde (Information Science) at the University of Amsterdam in 2010.

Again with Vanessa Evers, I co-taught  an undergraduate course on Research Methods and Techniques for the BSc in Informatiekunde (Information Science) at the University of Amsterdam in 2010.

I taught an undergraduate course on Human-Computer Interaction for the BSc in Informatiekunde (Information Science) at the University of Amsterdam in 2011.

Reviewing

I was reviewer for ESSLI 2007 and 2009, the D-CIS Human Factors Event 2010, HRI 2010 and 2011, and CHI 2010, 2011, and 2012.
